Denise Sofía Rosenthal Schalchli (born November 8, 1990), known as Denise Rosenthal, is a talented singer and songwriter from Chile. She is also an actress and has starred in many TV shows and movies.

Early Life and School
Denise Rosenthal was born in Santiago, Chile. She is the youngest of four children and has two brothers and one sister. Her mom, Liselotte, designs things for factories, and her dad, Christian, works with ceramics. When Denise was eight, her parents separated.
She went to Santiago College, a special school in Providencia, Santiago, where students learn in two languages. Denise has shared that she faced bullying at school because her family was not as rich as some others. Today, Denise still lives in Santiago.
Becoming an Actress
Denise started her TV journey in 2006. She joined a popular Chilean musical TV series for teens called Amango on Canal 13. She played a character named "Maria Fernanda Mc Gellar," also known as "Feña." The show first aired on June 16, 2007.
Denise was also part of the pop group from the Amango show. The band released three successful music albums. The second season of Amango started filming in late 2007 and aired in 2008. Denise also filmed Amango: The Tour, a documentary about the cast's national tour.
After Amango became a hit, Canal 13 created a spin-off show. It was called El Blog de la Feña. Denise played "Feña" again. This show let viewers vote for the next story using text messages. It became very popular in 2008.
In 2009, Denise acted in Corazón Rebelde. This was a Chilean version of a famous Argentine TV show called Rebelde Way. Denise also joined the show's band, CRZ: Corazón Rebelde. In 2010, she went to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to study acting, dance, and singing for six months.
Denise made her first movie appearance in July 2011. It was a comedy-drama called El Limpiapiscinas. Later in 2011, she started filming two more projects. The movie El Babysitter came out in Chile on January 24, 2013. In April 2012, Denise performed in her first theater show. It was a musical called Que Cante La Vida.
After a break from lead TV roles, Denise announced a new project in April 2013. She was cast as "Jessica Lorca" in Chico reality. This was a web series for the Chilean TV channel MEGA. She also appeared in the teen TV series El Nuevo in 2013. In 2015, Denise acted in the TVN telenovela Matriarcas. In January 2016, she played Princess Jazz in the musical Aladino, el musical.
Becoming a Music Star
Early Songs and TV Show Music (2008-2010)
Denise loved music from a young age. She recorded her first CD with four songs, Renacer, in 2006, but it was never released. She sang on the Amango and Amango 2 soundtracks in 2007 and 2008. She also sang on a Christmas album called Amango: Villancicos.
In June 2008, Denise released her first solo song, "No Quiero Escuchar Tu Voz." This song helped promote her TV series El Blog de la Feña. It reached number 8 on the Top 100 Chile chart. After finishing her role in Corazón Rebelde in 2010, Denise started working on her first solo album. She wrote many of the songs herself.
First Solo Album (2011-2015)
In May 2011, Denise released a promotional song called "Men." It was a new version of a song by Gladys Knight. In November of the same year, she released her first official song, "I Wanna Give My Heart." Denise wrote the words, and Neven Ilic created the music. Her second official song, "Just Better Alone," came out online in May 2012.
In September 2012, Denise released her third song, "Dance." It featured the hip-hop group Crossfire. Denise wrote this song too. In March 2013, she announced that her first solo album would be released soon. She said it would mix urban, pop, and R&B music styles.
Denise released her first album, Fiesta, on November 6, 2013. She used the stage name "D-Niss" for this album. Fiesta has 11 songs that mix Spanish and English. Denise wrote or helped write these songs. The album was available digitally on iTunes in November 2013. You can also listen to it for free on her official SoundCloud page. Denise worked on the album for eight months in Santiago.
In May 2014, Denise announced that "Revolution" would be the fifth song from her album. She started filming a music video for it. After a small car accident, she had to delay filming. She finished the video in July 2014. To promote "Revolution," Denise surprised fans by performing at a metro station in Santiago. She had 30 dancers with her in a flash mob. The music video for "Revolution" was released after a special online concert in August 2014.
Second Album Cambio de Piel (2015-Present)
Denise's second album, Cambio de Piel, was released on December 6, 2017. The song "Cambio de Piel" was the first song released from the album. Its music video came out on December 6, 2016. The second song, "Isidora," was released on September 1, 2017. Its music video was directed by Claudia Huaiquimilla. Other songs from the album include "Cabello de Ángel," "Lucha en Equilibrio," and "Encadená."
On February 14, 2019, Denise sang "Soñar de a Dos" with Camilo Zicavo. Five months later, she released "Agua Segura" with Spanish singer Mala Rodríguez. She then released "El Amor no Duele" in August, "Ni un fruto" in November, and "Tiene Sabor" in February 2020. In February 2020, Denise won the Silver and Golden Seagull awards at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival.
