Deon Anthony Cole (born January 9, 1972) is an American comedian, actor, and writer. He is famous for his role as Charlie Telphy in the TV show Black-ish. This role earned him nominations for important awards. Deon Cole also won the Doris Award on the TV show To Tell the Truth. You can also see him in the TV series Average Joe.

Cole was also nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards. These nominations were for his writing work on the late-night talk shows The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and Conan.

Deon Cole was born in Roseland, Chicago, on January 9, 1972. He went to Thornridge High School. Later, he earned a degree in acting from Philander Smith College. In 2023, his college gave him an honorary doctorate degree.

Deon Cole's comedy career started with a fun challenge. A friend bet him $50 that he wouldn't perform on stage in Chicago. He took the bet and began his journey in comedy.
