Deon Richmond (born April 2, 1978) is an American actor from New York City. He is famous for playing Kenny, also known as "Bud," on the popular TV show The Cosby Show. He also played Jordan Bennett in the sitcom Sister, Sister.
For his acting, Deon has been nominated for two Young Artist Awards and won one in 1989. He is also a father to twin girls.

Acting Career
Deon Richmond started his career at a young age. His mother is Shirley Richmond. Before he was famous for his TV roles, he appeared in a music video for the song "Cherish" by Kool & the Gang in 1985. He also acted in commercials for fast-food restaurants like Burger King and McDonald's.
The Cosby Show and Early Fame
In 1986, Deon got his big break when he joined the cast of The Cosby Show. He played Kenny, the friend of the character Rudy Huxtable. At first, he only appeared in a few episodes. But people liked his character so much that he became a regular part of the show.
In 1989, Deon and the other young actors on the show won a Young Artist Award for their great work together. He appeared in 32 episodes before the show ended in 1992.
During this time, he also acted in movies. He played a young Eddie Murphy in the film Eddie Murphy Raw (1987). He also had roles in the movies Enemy Territory and Mo' Better Blues.
Teen Roles in the 1990s
After The Cosby Show, Deon continued to act on television. From 1993 to 1994, he starred in the sitcom Getting By as Darren Dixon. His co-star Merlin Santana, who played his brother, had also been on The Cosby Show.
In 1997, he joined the popular show Sister, Sister. He played Jordan Bennett, the boyfriend of Tamera Campbell. He became a main character in the show's final season. His role on Sister, Sister earned him another Young Artist Award nomination in 1999.
He also starred in the 1999 movie Trippin'. He played a high school student who likes to daydream. Critics said he was "great" and "appealing" in the role.
Movies in the 2000s
In the 2000s, Deon appeared in several movies. He was in the horror film Scream 3 (2000) as a character named Tyson. The next year, he was in Not Another Teen Movie, where he played a character named Malik that made fun of movie stereotypes.
He also had roles in the comedy National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002) and the horror movie Hatchet (2007). In 2006, he played a teacher named Calvin Babbitt in the TV show Teachers.
Recent Work
Deon has continued to act in recent years. In 2014, he made a guest appearance on the final episode of the TV series Psych. He also appeared in the comedy film FDR: American B... in 2012.
