Deon Richmond (born April 2, 1978) is an American actor. He was born in Washington Heights, New York. Deon is best known for his roles on popular TV shows. He played Kenny, also called "Bud," on The Cosby Show. He also played Jordan Bennett on Sister, Sister. Deon has been nominated for two Young Artist Awards, which celebrate young performers. He won one of these awards in 1989.

Deon Richmond's Acting Career
Deon Richmond started acting when he was young. His mom is Shirley Richmond. He appeared in a music video for the song "Cherish" by Kool & the Gang in 1985. He also acted in commercials for Burger King and McDonald's.
Becoming "Bud" on The Cosby Show
In 1986, Deon joined the cast of The Cosby Show. He played Kenny, who was often called Bud. His first appearance was in an episode called "Theo's Flight." After showing up sometimes in season 3, he became a regular character.
In 1989, Deon and the other young actors on the show won an award. It was the Young Artist Award for Best Young Ensemble Performance. Deon appeared in 32 episodes of The Cosby Show until it ended in 1992.
Other Early Roles
Deon also acted in movies during this time. He played a younger version of Eddie Murphy in the film Eddie Murphy Raw (1987). He was also in the movie Enemy Territory as Chet. He had a small part in the Spike Lee film Mo' Better Blues.
Starring in Sister, Sister and Getting By
From 1993 to 1994, Deon played Darren Dixon in the TV show Getting By. His co-star was Merlin Santana, who played his brother Marcus. They had worked together before on The Cosby Show.
In 1997, Deon joined the popular show Sister, Sister. He played Jordan Bennett, who was Tamera Campbell's boyfriend. He became a main cast member in the show's final season. For his work on Sister, Sister, he received another Young Artist Award nomination in 1999.
Film Roles in the 1990s and 2000s
Deon starred in the 1999 movie Trippin'. He played Gregory Reed, a high school student who often daydreamed. Critics said Deon was "great" and "appealing" in this role.
In the 2000s, Deon appeared in several films. He played Tyson in the horror movie Scream 3 (2000). The next year, he was Malik in Not Another Teen Movie. He also played Mini Cochran in National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002). Deon was Marcus in the horror film Hatchet (2007).
He also acted in the TV show Teachers in 2006. He played a teacher named Calvin Babbitt.
Later Work
Deon acted less often in the 2010s. He made a guest appearance in the final episode of the TV show Psych in 2014. In this episode, he played the new boss of a character named Gus.
