Derrick Kelly II, born on August 23, 1995, is an American football player. He plays as an offensive guard for the San Antonio Brahmas. This team is part of the United Football League (UFL). Before playing professionally, he played college football at Florida State University.

College Football Journey
Derrick Kelly was a member of the Florida State Seminoles football team for five seasons. In his first year, he "redshirted." This means he practiced with the team but did not play in any games. This allowed him to gain experience without using up a year of his playing eligibility. During his college career, he played in 34 games and started 28 of them.
Playing Pro Football
New Orleans Saints (First Time)
After the 2019 NFL draft, Derrick Kelly was not chosen by any team. However, the New Orleans Saints signed him as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2019. This means he joined the team even though he wasn't picked in the draft. On August 30, 2019, he was "waived," which means the team let him go. But the very next day, he was re-signed to the team's "practice squad." Players on the practice squad train with the team but don't usually play in games.
On January 6, 2020, Kelly signed a "reserve/futures contract." This is a deal that starts when the new season begins. He then made the Saints' main roster after training camp that year. Kelly played his first NFL game on September 13, 2020, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On November 29, 2020, he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. He was able to return to the team on December 9. On August 31, 2021, the Saints waived him again. He was re-signed to the practice squad but was released on October 12.
New York Giants
On October 19, 2021, Kelly joined the New York Giants practice squad. His contract with the Giants ended when their season finished on January 9, 2022.
New York Jets
Derrick Kelly signed with the New York Jets on May 9, 2022. He was released by the team on August 16, 2022.
New Orleans Saints (Second Time)
