Playing for Different Clubs

Before joining the main VakıfBank team in the 2018–19 season, Derya played for Bahçelievler S.K. for a short time. This is called being "loaned out," which means she played for another team temporarily to gain more experience.

She also helped her team win big international competitions like the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship and the CEV Women's Champions League.

In the 2019–20 season, Derya was loaned out again, this time to Sistem9 Yeşilyurt for two seasons. She then returned to her home club, VakıfBank, in the 2020–21 season.

In May 2023, it was announced that Derya would be moving to Japan! She signed a contract to play for Kurobe AquaFairies in the 2023–24 season of Japan's top volleyball league, the V.League. She officially left VakıfBank S.K. on June 1, 2023.
