Kawennáhere Devery Jacobs, born on August 8, 1993, is a talented actress from Canada. She is a member of the Mohawk community. She is well-known for her role in the movie Rhymes for Young Ghouls (2013). This role earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the Canadian Screen Awards. More recently, she was nominated for a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in 2023 and 2024. These nominations were for her work on the TV show Reservation Dogs.

Devery Jacobs started acting in the late 2000s. She appeared in TV shows like The Dead Zone (2007) and Assassin's Creed: Lineage (2009).
Breakthrough Role
In 2013, Jacobs played the main character in the movie Rhymes for Young Ghouls. This film was shown for the first time at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. Her performance in the movie led to a nomination for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Actress. The next year, she was in a music video for the group A Tribe Called Red, for their song "Sisters".

Since 2021, she has played a main role in the popular TV series Reservation Dogs. This show is about a group of Indigenous teenagers living on a reservation in Oklahoma. For her role, she was nominated for a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in 2023. In the second season of Reservation Dogs, she also started working as a writer for the show. In the third season, she directed an episode called 'Wahoo!'.
Recent Work
In 2024, Devery Jacobs won the Radius Award at the 12th Canadian Screen Awards, sharing it with Lamar Johnson. She also lent her voice to the character Alasie in Ark: The Animated Series. She mentioned that recording for this role began in 2020. She described the character Alasie as a funny, younger sister type. She also voiced Kahhori in What If...? season 2.
