Dick Cole, born on April 6, 1967, is a politician from Cornwall, England. He is an elected member of the Cornwall Council. He also leads a political party called Mebyon Kernow. This party works to get more power and control for Cornwall. He has been the leader of Mebyon Kernow since 1997. This makes him one of the longest-serving political leaders in Britain.

Early Life and Education
Dick Cole grew up in Cornwall. His home was near the Goss Moor area. He went to Treviglas School in Newquay. Later, he studied at the University of Wales, Lampeter.
Dick Cole's Political Journey
Before becoming the leader of Mebyon Kernow in 1997, Dick Cole worked as the party's press officer for five years. While he was at university in Wales, he also supported a Welsh political party called Plaid Cymru.
Serving Local Communities
In 1999, Dick Cole was elected to the council for the Restormel area. He represented the St Enoder part of the council. He kept this seat until the council was changed in 2009.
In 2009, a new, bigger council called Cornwall Council was created. On June 4, 2009, Dick Cole ran in two elections held on the same day. He ran for a seat on the new Cornwall Council. He won the election for the St Enoder area with a very high number of votes.
He also ran in the European Parliament election that day. He was the main candidate for Mebyon Kernow in the South West England area.
Running for Parliament
Dick Cole has also run for a seat in the UK Parliament several times.
- In the 2005 general election, he ran in the North Cornwall area.
- In the 2010 general election, he was a candidate for the new St Austell and Newquay area.
- He ran again for the same St Austell and Newquay seat in the 2015 general election.

Dick Cole lives in Fraddon, which is in the middle of Cornwall. He is very active in his local community.
