Diego Alfredo Paulsen Kehr was born on August 1, 1987. He is a Chilean politician. From 2020 to 2022, he was the President of the Chamber of Deputies. He has also been a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2014. He represents District 22 of the Araucanía area.
Diego Paulsen was the youngest person to become President of the Chamber of Deputies. He was elected in April 2020 when he was 32 years old. As President, he was third in line to become president of Chile if something happened to the current president. He is a member of the National Renewal Party.

Early Life and Education
Diego Paulsen was born in Temuco, Chile. His family has roots in Denmark and Germany. He studied at Adolfo Ibáñez University and earned a law degree. He also completed a special diploma in law and parliamentary administration. This was at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso.
Political Career
Before becoming a politician, Paulsen worked as a legal helper for different businesses. This was from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, he started working for the National Renewal party's group in parliament.
First Election to Congress
In 2013, Paulsen decided to run for Congress. He won the first round of voting for candidates. He then became a candidate for District 49 of the Araucanía Region. Paulsen was elected with 26.26% of the votes. He started his term as a member of the Chamber of Deputies in 2014.
Important Work in Congress
As a deputy, Paulsen led a special group that looked into the University of Art & Social Sciences. They checked how the university got its official approval. He was also part of another group. This group investigated how public money was spent on health care and hospitals.
In 2017, he was elected again to the Chamber of Deputies. This time, he represented the new District 22 of the Araucanía Region.

2013 Election Results
In the 2013 parliamentary elections, he ran for deputy of District 49. This district included several towns like Curacautín and Lautaro. He won a seat in the Chamber of Deputies.
2017 Election Results
In the 2017 parliamentary elections, he ran for deputy of District 22. This district covered a larger area, including towns like Angol and Traiguén. He was reelected to the Chamber of Deputies.
