Diego Alfredo Paulsen Kehr (born August 1, 1987) is a Chilean politician. He was the President of the Chamber of Deputies from 2020 to 2022. He has also been a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2014. He represents District 22 of the Araucanía area.
He became the youngest person to be President of the Chamber of Deputies. He was elected in April 2020 when he was 32 years old. As President of the Chamber of Deputies, Paulsen was third in line to become president of Chile. This means he would take over if the President and the President of the Senate could not do their jobs.
Paulsen was first elected to Congress in 2013. He represented District 49 of Araucanía. He was reelected in 2017 for the new District 22. He is a member of the National Renewal Party. This party has ideas that are both liberal and conservative.

Early Life and Education
Paulsen was born in Temuco, Chile. His family has roots from Denmark and Germany. He studied at Adolfo Ibáñez University and earned a law degree. He also got a special diploma in law and how parliaments work. He earned this from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso.
Political Career
Before becoming a politician, Paulsen worked as a legal helper for different businesses. This was from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, he started working for the National Renewal party. He helped their group of lawmakers.
The next year, in 2013, Paulsen won the primary elections. This meant he could run for a seat in Congress. He ran for the 49th district in the Araucanía Region. Paulsen was elected with 26.26% of the votes. He started his term as a member of the Chamber of Deputies in 2014.
As a deputy, Paulsen led a special group that looked into the University of Art & Social Sciences (ARCIS). They checked how the university got its official approval. He also joined a group that looked at how public money was spent on health care and hospitals.
In 2017, he was elected again to the Chamber of Deputies. This time, he represented the 22nd district of the Araucanía Region.
