Who is Dion Lunadon?
Dion Lunadon was born as Dion Palmer in Auckland, New Zealand. He started his music journey playing in different bands.
Early Bands and The D4
Before joining famous bands, Dion played with several groups in New Zealand. Some of these included The Snitches and Nothing at All!. He also played bass and sang with The Scavengers during some special reunion shows.
Dion was a key member of The D4, a rock band from New Zealand. They released two albums and many shorter recordings called EPs and singles.
Joining A Place To Bury Strangers
In 2009, Dion started his own band called True Lovers. Then, in 2010, he joined A Place To Bury Strangers. This band is known for its loud and unique "noise rock" sound.
With A Place To Bury Strangers, Dion played many live shows. He also helped write songs for their albums like Worship and Transfixation. He contributed to their EP Onwards to the Wall and other recordings too.
Solo Music Career
In 2017, Dion Lunadon released his first solo album. This was a big step for him as a musician.
In March 2020, Dion announced he was leaving A Place To Bury Strangers. He then focused more on his own music.
On June 10, 2022, he released his second solo album, Beyond Everything. He followed this with Systems Edge on November 14, 2023. Both of these albums were released through In The Red Records.
