Dixon Township was in the western part of Logan County. It was located at coordinates 46.510035 degrees north and -99.601664 degrees west. The land was about 2,041 feet (622 meters) above sea level.
It shared borders with other townships in Logan County:
- Red Lake Township was to its south.
- Starkey Township (which also no longer exists) was at its southwest corner.
- Bryant Township (also no longer existing) was to its west.
- Glendale Township was at its northwest corner.
What Happened to Dixon Township?
The local government for Dixon Township stopped existing in 2001. This is called being "disbanded." After that, the area became known as the Dixon Unorganized Territory. An "unorganized territory" means it no longer has its own local government. Instead, the county government handles its services. Later, this area was combined into a larger area called the West Logan Unorganized Territory.
