The Djowei are an Indigenous Australian people who live in the Northern Territory of Australia. They are one of the many unique groups of Aboriginal people with a rich history and culture.

Where Did the Djowei Live?

The Djowei people traditionally lived in an area of about 1,200 square miles (3,100 km2) (around 3,100 square kilometres (1,200 sq mi)) in the Northern Territory. This land was located inland, to the east of the Adelaide River. Their traditional country was situated between the lands of two other Aboriginal groups, the Awarai and the Djerimanga peoples.
