Dmitry Borisovich Bosov (March 27, 1968 – May 6, 2020) was a Russian businessman. He started and led the ALLTECH Group. He was also the main owner and chairman of its Board of Directors. His most important companies were Sibanthracite Group and VostokCoal MC.
Since 2008, he was in charge of the supervisory board for the HC Sibir Novosibirsk ice hockey team.
In 2019, Forbes magazine listed him as the 102nd richest businessman in Russia. His wealth was about 950 million dollars. In 2020, he was ranked 1851st among the world's billionaires. His fortune grew to 1.1 billion dollars.

Early Life and Education
Dmitry Borisovich Bosov was born on March 27, 1968, in Barnaul, Russia. His father worked in sales and later became a deputy director at a factory. His mother was an English teacher and a professor at a university in Moscow.
In 1991, Dmitry graduated with high honors from Bauman Moscow State Technical University (MSTU). He studied Radio Electronics and Laser Technology. He also studied Economic Sciences and earned a doctorate degree.
His Career Journey
In 1991, Dmitry Bosov started his first company, CJSC PIF. This company was the Moscow office for the Kristall plant. He worked there as a deputy director and then as an executive director for two years. In 1993, he became the president of Polyexport LLP, a foreign trade company.
From 1995, he worked as a director for TransWorld Group's Moscow office. Later, from 1997 to 2000, he was a part-owner and board member of the Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Plant.
In 2000, he sold his shares in the aluminum plant. After that, he teamed up with friends from Bauman MSTU to create ALLTECH Group. This group focused on investing in new projects across Russia. Dmitry was the chairman of the Group's board.
One of ALLTECH's projects was buying and later selling a large electrode plant in Russia in 2006. In 2004, ALLTECH Group bought over 20% of West Siberian Resources Ltd (WSR). This company grew a lot, and its value increased almost 20 times in four years. In 2008, West Siberian Resources joined with Alliance Oil Company.
Dmitry's work in the coal business began when he bought shares in Siberian Anthracite JSC. This company is the world's largest producer of a special type of coal called anthracite UHG. It is located in the Novosibirsk Region. He also became the chairman of the board for VostokCoal MC.
Since 2008, he has been the head of the supervisory board for the Sibir Ice Hockey Club.
In 2015, he started the Blackspace group of companies in Indonesia. These companies got licenses to mine coal, nickel, manganese, and bauxite. Blackspace then worked on two big projects. One was developing a coal mine in Central Kalimantan. The other was building a ferronickel plant on Kabena island.

ALLTECH Group
ALLTECH Group is a private investment company. Dmitry Bosov and his university friends started it in 1993.
In 2007, ALLTECH began the Pechora LNG project. This project aimed to develop gas fields in the Nenets Autonomous District. In 2015, Rosneft Oil Company joined the project, taking a 50% share. However, in 2018, Rosneft left the project.
In 2018, ALLTECH Group combined its coal businesses with Sibanthracite Group.
Another project for ALLTECH is in real estate. They developed the ARTPLAY Design Center and other real estate projects near Moscow.
Sibanthracite Group
Sibanthracite Group is the world's biggest producer of anthracite UHG coal. It is also a top Russian producer of metallurgical coal, which is used to make steel. The group was formed in 2018. It brought together major coal companies from the Novosibirsk region, like Siberian Anthracite JSC. It also included Open-Pit Mine Kiyzassky LLC from the Kemerovo region.
In April 2019, Sibanthracite Group shared its results for 2018. They produced 24.1 million tons of coal, which was four times more than in 2014. Their income was 132.8 billion rubles. The group spent 1.9 billion rubles on social and charity programs. Sibanthracite plans to produce 58 million tons of coal and anthracite by 2022.
The group's website says they focus on keeping their workplaces safe for employees. They also provide social support. In 2018, they spent 86 million rubles on safety and 111.4 million rubles on employee support.
Sibanthracite Group is also involved in building the Severomuisk tunnel. Dmitry Bosov offered to help with this project in a letter to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, in 2018.
In February 2021, it was announced that Sibanthracite was bought by a company owned by investor Albert Avdolyan. The price was reportedly around $1 billion.
VostokCoal MC
VostokCoal MC is a company partly owned by Dmitry Bosov and Alexander Isaev. VostokCoal focuses on starting new coal and infrastructure projects.
Currently, the company is working with Rostec, a state company. They are building the Vera Port coal terminal in Primorsky Krai. They are also getting ready to start mining at the Ogodginskoe coal field. This is the largest coal field in the Russian Far East. The Arctic Mining Company (AGK), which is part of VostokCoal MC, is developing coal mines on the Taymyr Peninsula.
Earlier, VostokCoal MC said they would produce 30 million tons of coal from Taimyr by 2023. However, these plans were changed. This was because there wasn't enough proven coal to mine.
Personal Life
Dmitry Bosov was married to Katerina Bosova. He had five children.
He passed away in Usovo, Moscow Oblast, on May 6, 2020.
