Darryl Eugene "Dokie" Williams, born on August 25, 1960, is a former American football player. He was a talented wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). Dokie played for the Los Angeles Raiders for five seasons, from 1983 to 1987. He even won a Super Bowl championship with the Raiders!

Dokie Williams' Early Life
Dokie Williams grew up in Oceanside, California. He went to El Camino High School. There, he was a fantastic athlete in both football and track and field.
High School Sports Achievements
In 1977, Dokie became the CIF California State Meet champion in the triple jump. He was really good at jumping! The next year, in 1978, he won the triple jump again. He also added the long jump title to his achievements. Plus, he finished fourth in the 100-yard dash, showing he was super fast.
College Football Career
After high school, Dokie Williams went to UCLA. He played wide receiver for the UCLA football team. He was a key player for all four years he was there. Dokie graduated from UCLA in 1983.
Track and Field at UCLA
Besides football, Dokie also joined the track and field team at UCLA. He was an amazing triple jumper there too. In fact, he is ranked second on the team's all-time list for the triple jump. The only person ahead of him was Willie Banks, who was a former world record holder!
Dokie Williams' NFL Journey
Dokie Williams was chosen by the Los Angeles Raiders in the 1983 NFL draft. He was the 138th player picked overall, in the fifth round. This was the start of his professional football career.
Playing for the Raiders
Dokie played for the Raiders for five seasons. His biggest achievement was winning a Super Bowl ring with the team in 1983. This was his rookie year, making the win even more special! After the 1987 season, he asked to be traded to another team.
Other NFL Teams
In 1988, the Raiders traded Dokie to the San Francisco 49ers. However, his time with the 49ers was short. He was later released by the team. In 1989, he signed with the San Diego Chargers, but he was released again that same year. His final stop was with the Seattle Seahawks in 1990, but he was also released before the season started.
Life After Football
Today, Dokie Williams is still involved in sports. He is one of the girls' varsity coaches at Escondido High School. He coaches alongside his older brother, Cris Williams.
