Dominic Anthony Sherwood is an actor and model from England. He is well-known for playing Christian Ozera in the movie Vampire Academy (2014). He also starred as Jace Wayland in the fantasy TV series Shadowhunters (2016–2019). More recently, he played Kurt in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020) and Jeff Murphy in the Netflix show Partner Track (2022).

Dominic Sherwood was born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. He went to Oakwood Park Grammar School in Maidstone. After studying drama and theater in Maidstone and Sevenoaks, he traveled abroad. He worked in Kenya for six months before moving to London to continue his acting career.

Starting in Television
Dominic Sherwood's first acting job was in 2010. He appeared as Jack Simmons in the third season of the TV show The Cut. The next year, he was a guest star in an episode of Sadie J, playing a waiter named Tom.
First Big Movie Roles
In 2012, he had a small part in the movie Not Fade Away. He played a young Mick Jagger in this drama film. His first major role came in 2014. He played Christian Ozera in the movie Vampire Academy. This film was based on a popular book series by Richelle Mead.

In February 2015, Dominic became even more recognized. He appeared in Taylor Swift's music video for her song "Style". The video was directed by Kyle Newman.
On April 20, 2015, it was announced that he would play Jace Herondale. This was for the Freeform fantasy TV series Shadowhunters. The show was based on Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments book series. He also acted with Ed Westwick and Jeremy Sumpter in the thriller movie Billionaire Ransom. He also appeared in the horror-thriller film Don't Sleep.
Recent Projects
In 2020, Sherwood starred in the dark fantasy TV series Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. This show ran for one season.
In 2021, it was reported that Dominic would star in a new movie. It was a reboot of Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1996 film Eraser. The new movie was called Eraser: Reborn and came out on March 31, 2022.
Sherwood also starred in the Netflix series Partner Track. This show was based on Helen Wan's book. Filming for the series took place in New York from September 2021 to February 2022.
Since April 11, 2022, he has been hosting a Shadowhunters rewatch podcast. He hosts it with his co-star Katherine McNamara. The podcast is called Return to the Shadows.
Personal Details
Dominic Sherwood has a unique eye condition called sectoral heterochromia. This means one of his eyes is blue, while the other eye is half blue and half brown.
