How to Play Don't Spill the Beans
The main goal of Don't Spill the Beans is to be the first player to get rid of all your beans. You do this by carefully placing them into a special pot.
Game Setup
Each player starts with a pile of beans. In the game, you pretend the pot is a very hot cauldron where something is cooking!
Taking Turns
Players take turns placing one of their plastic beans into the pot. The trick is to do this without touching the pot or making it tip over.
Spilling the Beans
If a player's bean makes the pot tip over, all the beans that spill out are added to that player's pile. This means they have more beans to get rid of!
Winning the Game
The game continues until one player successfully puts all their beans into the pot without spilling any. That player becomes the winner!
A Look Back: Original Beans
When the game first came out in the 1960s, it actually used real kidney beans instead of plastic ones!
History of the Game
Don't Spill the Beans was first introduced in 1967. It was created by Schaper Toys.
Changing Hands
Over the years, the game changed owners. In 1986, Milton Bradley Company took over the game. Milton Bradley was owned by Tyco Toys at that time. Later, Milton Bradley became part of Hasbro.
