Don Franklin (born December 14, 1960) is an American actor. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows. You might recognize him as Commander Jonathan Ford from seaQuest DSV or as Captain Craig Donovan in Seven Days. He also played Alex Wheeler in the TV series Nasty Boys.
In 1989, Don Franklin made history. He became the first Black actor to have a main role in a US television western show. He played Noah Dixon in The Young Riders.

Don Franklin's Acting Journey
Don Franklin started his career as a professional dancer and actor in Chicago. He even received a special award nomination for his acting there. Early in his career, he worked with the famous director Sidney Poitier. This was for the 1985 movie Fast Forward.
During his time on the TV series Seven Days, Don Franklin's character often faced dangerous situations. He later appeared in the NCIS TV shows. He played FBI Agent Ron Sacks on the original NCIS. He also played Captain Alan Beck on the spin-off show NCIS: Los Angeles.

Don Franklin was born and grew up in Chicago. He went to Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. He has two children: a daughter from his first marriage and a son from his second marriage.
