Donside Village is built on a very interesting site. It used to be home to a large factory called the Donside Paper Mill. This mill made paper for many years.
From Paper Mill to New Homes
The Donside Paper Mill closed down in 2001. After that, the old buildings were taken down around 2006. Plans were then made to build a new community there. Permission to start building was given in 2008.
