Dora Doll's Acting Career
Dora Doll started her acting journey in the 1940s. One of her first movie appearances was in the film Manon in 1949. She played the character Juliette in this movie.
She also appeared in other important films. In 1954, she played Lola in Touchez pas au grisbi. The next year, in 1955, she was Genisse in French Cancan. These roles helped her become a recognized actress.
Later Roles in Film and TV
Dora Doll continued to act in many different projects. In 1976, she was on French television in a series called Hôtel Baltimore. She played the role of Suzy in this show.
A year later, in 1977, she appeared in the movie Julia. In this film, she played a passenger who was with Lillian Hellman. Lillian Hellman was helping her friend Julia by carrying money through Nazi Germany. In 1982, Dora Doll also acted in That Night in Varennes.
Towards the end of the 1990s, she played a grandmother named Louise Chantreuil. This was in the popular TV series Tide of Life. Her long career showed her talent and dedication to acting.

Dora Doll was married two times during her life. Her first husband was an actor named Raymond Pellegrin. They had a daughter together, whose name is Danielle. Later, she was married to François Deguelt.
In 1993, Dora Doll received a special award. It was called the "Prix Reconnaissance des cinéphiles" from Puget-Théniers. This award honored her amazing work throughout her acting career. In 2000, she was also made a Knight of France's National Order of Merit. This is a very high honor in France.
