Becoming an Engineer and Teacher
Dora Musielak studied hard to become an engineer. In 1978, she earned her first degree in aeronautical engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico. Guess what? She was the very first woman to get this degree from that university!
She didn't stop there. She earned a master's degree from the University of Tennessee in 1980. Later, in 1994, she completed her Ph.D. at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Throughout her career, Dora has worked for big companies like Northrop Grumman. She also led a special committee for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics from 2014 to 2016. This committee focused on high-speed jet engines.
