Dornik's Music Journey
Dornik started his career by writing songs for other artists, like the music group Odd Future and Syd Tha Kyd. This is sometimes called being a "ghostwriter" because his name wasn't always publicly linked to the songs at first. He later received credit as a producer and songwriter for these groups.
He also worked with many other musicians. Dornik was a "backing musician," meaning he played instruments or sang backup for main artists. A notable collaboration was with Jessie Ware. He was the male singer on her song "Valentine."
Signing with Island Records
Working with Jessie Ware helped Dornik get noticed. She helped him sign a record deal with Island Records. This was a big step in his career.
In 2015, Dornik released his first album, which was simply called Dornik. His second album, Limboland, came out in May 2020.
