Dorothy is a unique comic book series. It was created by Greg Mannino and Mark Masterson. The comics were published by Illusive Arts Entertainment, LLC.

This series is based on the famous Wizard of Oz books. These stories were originally written by L. Frank Baum. The Dorothy comic series was published over four years, from 2004 to 2007. It ended with a cliffhanger, leaving fans wondering what would happen next.

What makes Dorothy special is how it's made. Instead of drawings, it uses photographs! An actress named Catie Fisher plays Dorothy. She was photographed in front of a green screen. Then, the amazing world around her was added digitally. This style of comic, using photos instead of drawings, is called Fumetti or "photo comics."

In 2006, the Dorothy comic series was even added to the Oz Museum in Wamego, Kansas. This shows how important and interesting the series is.
