Dosquebradas is a lively city and a municipality in Colombia. It is located in the Risaralda Department. As of 2023, about 225,540 people live there. This makes it the second largest city in the department.
Dosquebradas is connected to Pereira, the capital city, by a large bridge. This bridge is called the César Gaviria Trujillo Viaduct.

Discovering Dosquebradas' History
The name Dosquebradas means "two creeks" in Spanish. These two creeks are named Santa Teresita and Las Garzas.
People sometimes call Dosquebradas the "Pink Zone" (Zona Rosa) of Pereira. This is because it has many fun places like clubs and bars. Young people often gather there on weekends.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Dosquebradas grew a lot. It became an important place for factories and businesses that helped Pereira. Many new homes were built, and lots of families moved there. These families often traveled to Pereira for work.
Climate and Weather
Dosquebradas has a special type of weather called a subtropical highland climate. This means it usually has mild temperatures all year round. The average temperature is about 21°C (70°F).
