Douglas Dawson Wilson (born 30 January 1931, died 18 May 2019) was a famous New Zealand rugby union player. He played in key positions like first five-eighth and second five-eighth. Wilson was a proud member of the New Zealand national team, known as the All Blacks. He toured with them in 1953–54, playing many games and scoring points.

The 1953–54 Tour
Doug Wilson went on a special tour with the All Blacks in 1953–54. They travelled to Britain, Ireland, France, and North America. This was a very long trip for a sports team back then. On this tour, Doug played 14 rugby matches. Two of these were "internationals," which means they were against other countries' national teams.
