Dow Diamond is a cool baseball stadium located in Midland, Michigan. It is the home field for the Great Lakes Loons. The Loons are a Minor League baseball team. They play in the Midwest League. The team is connected to the famous Los Angeles Dodgers major league team.

The stadium is located near Buttles, Ellsworth, and State streets in Midland. The Dow Chemical Company helped make the stadium possible. They gave the land for the stadium. They also bought the right to name the stadium in 2006. The name "Dow Diamond" connects to Dow's company logo, which is a red diamond. It also uses "diamond," which is a fun nickname for a baseball field.

Work on the ballpark started on April 11, 2006. The stadium officially opened its doors on April 13, 2007.

Dow Diamond has hosted some exciting baseball events. On June 8, 2007, it was announced that the stadium would host the 2008 Midwest League All-Star Game. This big game happened on June 17, 2008. The stadium also hosted the Midwest League All-Star Game again in 2017.

Seating and Special Areas

The stadium has seats for 3,100 people. There is also a special Party Deck that can hold 100 more. For special guests, there are 12 luxury suites. These suites have a total of 300 seats. The stadium also has a Green Room for performers. There are three dressing rooms too.

Events and Rentals

The indoor parts of Dow Diamond can be used all year round. You can rent them for almost any event. The stadium's catering company can provide food for your event. They can serve small snacks for a few people. They can also serve a big dinner for 200 guests. Or, they can host a reception for up to 2,000 people.

Outdoor Event Space

Outside, Dow Diamond is very flexible for events. If a stage is placed behind home plate, 3,500 people can sit. If the stage is behind second base, 5,500 people can attend. For really big events, a stage in center field allows for 9,000 people.

For big shows or trade shows, the infield and outfield can be covered. There's 50,000 square feet of special flooring available. This flooring protects the field. There's also 10,000 square feet of covering for stage areas.
