Dow Diamond is a cool baseball stadium in Midland, Michigan. It is the home field for the Great Lakes Loons. The Loons are a Minor League baseball team. They play in the Midwest League. The team is also connected to the famous Los Angeles Dodgers.
The stadium is close to Buttles, Ellsworth, and State streets in Midland. The Dow Chemical Company helped make this stadium possible. Their main office is in Midland. Dow Chemical gave the land for the stadium. They also bought the right to name the stadium in 2006. The name "Dow Diamond" is special. It refers to Dow's red diamond logo. It also uses "diamond," which is a fun nickname for a baseball field.

Building the Ballpark
Work on the ballpark began on April 11, 2006. The stadium officially opened its doors on April 13, 2007. It was a big day for baseball fans in Midland!
Hosting All-Star Games
Dow Diamond has hosted some exciting events. On June 8, 2007, it was announced that the stadium would host the 2008 Midwest League All-Star Game. This special game took place on June 17, 2008. Later, Dow Diamond also hosted the 2017 Midwest League All-Star Game. These games bring together the best players from the league.
Awards and Recognition
Dow Diamond has won several awards for being a great place to watch baseball.
- In 2007, Baseball Digest magazine named it the "best new ballpark."
- In 2012, a website called Stadium Journey said it was the "best ballpark in Michigan."
- In 2016, it was ranked 16th out of 160 MiLB teams. This ranking was for the overall stadium experience.

Seating and Special Areas
The main seating area at Dow Diamond can hold 3,100 people. There is also a special Party Deck that can fit 100 more guests. The stadium has 12 fancy luxury suites. These suites offer 300 extra seats for a more private experience. For performers, there is a Green Room and three dressing rooms.
Events and Gatherings
The indoor parts of Dow Diamond are open all year. You can rent them for almost any event. The stadium's catering company can provide food for different types of parties. They can serve snacks for a small group of 24 people. They can also prepare a formal dinner for 200 or a big reception for 2,000.
Outdoor Event Space
Outside, Dow Diamond is very flexible for events like concerts.
- If the stage is behind home plate, it can seat 3,500 people.
- If the stage is behind second base, it can seat 5,500 people.
- If the stage is in center field, it can hold up to 9,000 people!
For big shows or trade fairs on the field, special flooring is available. This flooring covers 50,000 square feet. It protects the field and makes it easy to set up stages and roads.
