Dragiša Binić (born October 20, 1961) is a former professional football player from Serbia. He is famous for his time playing as a striker for the team Red Star Belgrade.

Binić was a key player on the Red Star team that won the European Cup in 1991. This is one of the biggest trophies in European football. He also played for the Yugoslavia national football team, scoring one goal in three games. His son, Vladan Binić, also became a professional footballer.

Football Career

Joining Red Star Belgrade

In the summer of 1987, Binić joined the famous club Red Star Belgrade. He was almost 26 years old. At Red Star, he reunited with his old teammate Dragan Stojković, who was already a star player for the team.

The club wanted to build a winning team. They also signed other talented players like Robert Prosinečki. Binić quickly fit in with the team's main players. He played alongside midfielders Žarko Đurović and Goran Milojević.

Binić had a great start, scoring a goal in an away game. However, he had a disagreement with the head coach, Velibor Vasović. Because of this, Binić was not allowed to play in matches for several months. After some time, he was able to return to the team and continue playing.
