Football Career
Joining Red Star Belgrade
In the summer of 1987, Binić joined the famous club Red Star Belgrade. He was almost 26 years old. At Red Star, he reunited with his old teammate Dragan Stojković, who was already a star player for the team.
The club wanted to build a winning team. They also signed other talented players like Robert Prosinečki. Binić quickly fit in with the team's main players. He played alongside midfielders Žarko Đurović and Goran Milojević.
Binić had a great start, scoring a goal in an away game. However, he had a disagreement with the head coach, Velibor Vasović. Because of this, Binić was not allowed to play in matches for several months. After some time, he was able to return to the team and continue playing.
