What is a Regierungsbezirk?
Germany is divided into different types of areas. These include cities and rural areas. All German states, like Saxony, have these divisions.
How German Districts Work
The smaller areas are called districts. They can be:

- Rural districts: These are areas outside big cities. They include many towns and villages.
These districts are then grouped together into larger government areas. These larger areas are called Regierungsbezirke. They help the state government organize things.
