Duacarí was officially created on November 27, 1980. Before that, it was part of another district called Río Jiménez. This change helped organize the different parts of the region better.

Geography and Location

Duacarí covers an area of about 81.36 square kilometers. That's roughly the size of 11,000 football fields! It is located at an elevation of 18 meters above sea level. This means it's quite close to the coast.
