People remember this Dulcitius mostly from an old story. This story says he was involved in a difficult time for some Christian women in a city called Thessalonika in 304 AD. He is even a character, often seen as the bad guy, in a play called Dulcitius. A writer named Hrotsvitha of Gandersheim wrote this play in the 900s.
