Dulwich Park facts for kids
Dulwich Park is a large public park in Dulwich, south London, England. It covers about 30.85 hectares (76.2 acres). The park was created from old farmland and meadows. It was designed by Charles Barry (junior) and later improved by Lt Col JJ Sexby. He also helped design Battersea and parts of Southwark Parks.
The park first opened in 1890. It was opened by Lord Rosebery, a famous politician at the time. Between 2004 and 2006, the park was restored. This brought back its original Victorian look. Dulwich Park is considered a very special historic place.
