There was also a younger team, called a "junior club," formed in 1906. Their first game was on August 22, 1906. They played against a team called "Corinthians" and lost 2–1.

History of Dumbarton Harp
Dumbarton Harp mostly played in local football leagues. These included the Glasgow and District Junior League. They joined this league in its very first season. They also played in the Inter County Football League during the 1916–17 season.
In 1910, they became champions of the Scottish Football Union. They left this league in 1912. After that, they joined the Scottish Reserve Football League.
For a short time, Dumbarton Harp played in the Scottish Football League. This was when the league added a third division in the 1920s. In the 1923–24 season, they finished tenth out of 16 teams. This was in the first year of Division Three.
However, they had money problems. They had to stop playing halfway through the 1924–25 season. Because of this, the club was closed down.
Where They Played: Meadow Park
Dumbarton Harp played their home games at Meadow Park. This stadium was right in the middle of Dumbarton town. It was also very close to Dumbarton Central railway station. Today, industrial buildings stand where Meadow Park used to be.
Team Colours
The team's kit colours changed a few times over the years:
- From around 1894 to 1909: They wore green shirts, white shorts, and green socks.
- From around 1909 to 1910: Their shirts were green and white hoops. They still had white shorts and green socks.
- From around 1910 until 1925: They went back to green shirts, white shorts, and green socks.
Dumbarton Harp's Legacy
Even though the football club no longer exists, the name "Dumbarton Harp" lives on. There is a supporters club for Celtic with this name. Also, a local amateur football team uses the same name today.
