Duncan Robert Fisher (born August 30, 1927 – died September 22, 2017) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played as a right wing. Fisher was part of the National Hockey League (NHL) for several seasons. He played for famous teams like the New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, and Detroit Red Wings.
Duncan Fisher started his hockey journey in 1943. He played for junior teams such as the Regina Pats and Regina Capitals. These teams helped him develop his skills before he became a professional player.

Duncan Fisher's Hockey Journey
Playing in the NHL
Fisher joined the National Hockey League (NHL) in 1947. He first played for the New York Rangers. He was known as a strong right wing. He played 275 games in the NHL between 1947 and 1953, and again in 1958 to 1959.
After playing for the Rangers, Fisher also played for the Boston Bruins and the Detroit Red Wings. He was a valuable player for these teams during his time in the league.
Playing in Other Leagues
Besides the NHL, Duncan Fisher played in other professional hockey leagues. From 1952 to 1953, and again from 1956 to 1960, he played for the Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League (AHL). While with the Bears, he helped his team reach the Conference Championships and the Calder Cup Finals. The Calder Cup is the championship trophy for the AHL.
After His Playing Career
After retiring from playing hockey in 1960, Fisher stayed involved in the sport. From 1962 to 1964, he became a coach for the Regina St. Pats. This allowed him to share his experience with younger players.
Later, Fisher worked in sales. He then worked for the City of Regina. He managed the Lawson Aquatic Centre and later oversaw all of the city's aquatic facilities until he retired. Duncan Fisher passed away in Regina in 2017.
