On January 13, 2021, Duncan returned to Scotland. He rejoined Glasgow Warriors, the team where his professional career began. He started playing for them again in the 2021-22 season.
Playing for Scotland

Duncan was the starting fly-half for Scotland in the 2014 Six Nations. He had played very well for Glasgow. In a memorable moment, he scored a last-minute drop-goal to help Scotland beat Italy in Rome. This was Scotland's first win there since 2006.
Duncan was also called up to the Scotland squad for the 2017 Six Nations Championship.
In 2019, Duncan was called up to Scotland’s larger Six Nations squad. This happened after he had a great first season with Worcester Warriors. His strong performance, along with another player's suspension, led to him being called up again for the 2020 Six Nations.
