Early Life and Education
Dustin Charles Lynch was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee, on May 14, 1985. He grew up in this town.
Dustin graduated from Tullahoma High School in 2003. Later, in 2007, he earned a degree in biology from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. While at Lipscomb, he also played on the school's Men's Golf Team. He chose Lipscomb because it was close to the Bluebird Café. This famous place allowed him to play music and learn how to write songs while he was still in college. Even though he thought about going to medical school, Dustin decided to follow his dream of a music career instead.
Music Career Highlights
Dustin Lynch shared that he first started playing guitar when he was about 8 or 9 years old. He stopped for a while but picked it up again when he was 15. When he was 16, he performed at an open mic night at the Bluebird Café in Nashville. The audience really liked his performance, which made him decide to start his own band.
