Dylan Farrell (born 15 May 1991) is an Australian former professional rugby league player. He played as a centre and winger. Dylan played for the St. George Illawarra Dragons and South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL.

Early Life and Rugby Beginnings

Dylan Farrell was born in Nowra, New South Wales, Australia. He is of Indigenous Australian heritage.

He started playing junior rugby league for the Culburra Dolphins. Later, he played for the Woy Woy Roosters. After that, he was signed by the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Dylan has a tattoo of his hometown, Culburra, on his body.

Junior Career Highlights

Farrell played for the North Sydney Bears in the S. G. Ball Cup. This is a competition for younger players. He then joined South Sydney's NYC team. He played in the NYC in 2009 and 2010.

Professional Playing Career

Dylan Farrell had an exciting career in the NRL. He was known for his speed and try-scoring ability.

2010: NRL Debut and Early Success

In 2010, Dylan made his NRL debut. This was in Round 22 of the 2010 NRL season. He played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs against the Wests Tigers.

Farrell played in all 27 matches for South Sydney in the 2012 NRL season. He scored 8 tries. The team reached the preliminary final. However, they were defeated by the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs 32–8.

2013: Moving to a New Club

In May 2013, Dylan agreed to join the St George Illawarra Dragons. His contract started in 2014. He played 15 matches in his last year with the Rabbitohs. He scored 6 tries. He also played some games for the North Sydney Bears in the NSW Cup.

2014: Joining the Dragons

In February 2014, Dylan was chosen for the Dragons' first Nines squad. He made his club debut for St. George in Round 1. This was against the Wests Tigers. He played at centre in their 44–24 win.

In Round 6, he scored his first try for St. George. This was against the Melbourne Storm. During that game, he got a pectoral muscle injury. He later got the same injury again. This ended his season. He scored one try in 6 games in his first year with St. George Illawarra.

2015: Final Season and Retirement

Dylan finished the 2015 NRL season playing in 13 matches. He played on the wing and in the centres. He announced his retirement from rugby league. This was due to a back injury he got near the end of the 2015 season.
