Dyllón Burnside's Early Career
Dyllón Burnside started his career at age 12. He was the main singer of a hip-hop and R&B boy band called "3D." He performed with his two cousins. His mother managed the group.
The band toured with famous artists like Stevie Wonder and Rihanna. They also had a deal with Atlantic Records. They performed in big places such as Madison Square Garden and the Nokia Theater.
Choosing a New Path
After 10 years, Dyllón wanted to try new things. He felt limited by being in a boy band. He wanted to explore arts that were not always seen as "masculine." He realized he could still be a man and enjoy singing classical music or taking ballet.
So, he joined the CAP21 conservatory. He focused on singing. He then moved to New York City. There, he took acting and dance classes. He also studied media studies and writing at The New School.

While at CAP21, Dyllón acted in a musical called Holler if Ya Hear Me. This show was inspired by the rapper Tupac. Dyllón played the role of Anthony on Broadway in 2014.
