Dayo Olatunji, who is known by her stage name Dyo, is an English singer and songwriter. She was first known to fans by the name Ms D. She is famous for singing on hit songs and writing music for many popular artists.

Early Life and First Steps in Music

Dyo grew up in East Ham, a part of East London. Her mother was born in the United Kingdom, and her father came from Lagos, Nigeria.

She discovered her love for singing when she was only four years old. By the time she was 10, she was already performing for others. She participated in talent shows and sang at school events, showing everyone her amazing voice.

Career as a Musician

Starting as Ms D

When she first started her career, Dyo used the stage name 'Ms D'. She worked with the famous rapper Wiley on his 2013 album, The Ascent. She was the featured singer and a co-writer on three of his hit singles from that album. One of those songs, "Heatwave", even reached #1 on the UK music charts.

In 2009, she was the singer on the #1 hit song "Oopsy Daisy" by the rapper Chipmunk. She also helped write the song "Bounce" for the artist Iggy Azalea in 2013.

Becoming Dyo

In 2016, she decided to change her stage name to 'Dyo' to start a new chapter in her career. That same year, she was the singer and co-writer on the pop song "..." by the Swedish music producer NEIKED. The song became a huge international hit.
