Dayo Olatunji, known professionally as Dyo (and previously as Ms D), is an English singer and songwriter. She is famous for writing songs for many popular artists and for her own music.

Early Life and Musical Beginnings
Dyo grew up in East Ham, a part of East London. Her mother was born in the United Kingdom, and her father came from Lagos, Nigeria.
She started singing when she was just 4 years old. By the age of 10, Dyo was already performing in school shows and taking part in talent competitions. This early start helped her develop her amazing voice and stage presence.
Dyo's Music Career Journey
Early Career as Ms D (2009–2016)
Dyo first became known by her stage name 'Ms D'. During this time, she worked with the famous rapper Wiley. She was featured on and helped write three hit songs from his 2013 album The Ascent. One of these songs, "Heatwave", even reached number one on the UK music charts!
She also lent her voice to "Dependency", the first song by English singer Charlie Brown. Many people also know her vocals from rapper Chipmunk's 2009 chart-topping song "Oopsy Daisy". Ms D also helped write and sang backing vocals for Iggy Azalea's 2013 song "Bounce".
Becoming Dyo (2016–Present)
On 15 September 2016, Dyo signed an important deal with Warner/Chappell Music. This deal helped her share her music with even more people. In April 2017, Dyo was nominated for a special award, Best Contemporary Song, at the 62nd Ivor Novello Awards.
In August 2017, the popular group Fifth Harmony released their third album. It included a song called "Lonely Night", which Dyo helped write. In 2018, she worked with Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold on his album About 30. Their song "Down With You" became very popular in Nigeria.
Dyo also helped write "Calypso", a new song by Luis Fonsi featuring Stefflon Don, released in June 2018. In October 2018, Dyo received a BMI award. This was for her songwriting on the hit song "What Lovers Do" by Maroon 5.
In 2019, Dyo started releasing her own music under her new name, Dyo. Her first songs included "Arena" and "Go All The Way" with Mr Eazi. In January 2020, she released her first collection of songs, called an EP, titled Dyologue. This EP featured music produced by GuiltyBeatz and JAE5. Later that year, Dyo released "Let Them Talk" with Nigerian artist Simi. She also helped write "Woman" by NAO featuring Lianne La Havas.
In 2021, Dyo continued to write for other artists. Her songwriting credits include "Way Too Long" by Nathan Dawe featuring Anne-Marie and MoStack. She also co-wrote Jesy Nelson's song "Boyz" featuring Nicki Minaj.
