The E235 series is a modern electric train used by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) in Japan. These trains started running on the Yamanote Line between 2015 and 2017. Newer versions began service on the Yokosuka Line in 2020 and are still being built.

Yamanote Line Service
The first E235 series trains were introduced on the Yamanote Line. This is a very busy loop line that goes around central Tokyo. It connects many major stations and is used by millions of people every day. The E235 trains help keep this vital line running smoothly.
Yokosuka Line Service
Later, a different version of the E235 series was made for the Yokosuka Line. This line connects Tokyo with areas to the south, including Yokohama. These trains are designed for longer journeys and have features like the Green cars.
