Eagle Point is a small place in Wisconsin, United States. It is not a city or a village with its own government. Instead, it is called an unincorporated community. This means it is part of a larger area, the town of Eagle Point.
Eagle Point is located in Chippewa County. You can find it along the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. It is also close to Wisconsin Highway 124. This community is about 6.5 miles (10.5 km) north of a bigger city called Chippewa Falls.

The Story of Eagle Point
How Eagle Point Got Its Name
The community of Eagle Point has an interesting history. It was named after a nearby tall hill, or bluff, which is also called Eagle Point.
A Special Bald Eagle
The name "Eagle Point" comes from a cool story. During the American Civil War, a group of soldiers caught a bald eagle on this bluff. They decided to keep the eagle as their special military mascot. A mascot is like a good luck charm for a team or group. This brave bald eagle became very famous!
When Eagle Point Had a Post Office
For a while, Eagle Point had its own post office. It opened in 1884. People living there could send and receive mail right in their community. However, the post office closed down in 1913.
