Earl Anthony Timberlake Jr. (born November 4, 2000) is an American college basketball player. He plays for the Bryant Bulldogs team in the America East Conference. Before joining Bryant, he played for the Miami Hurricanes and the Memphis Tigers.

Earl's Early Life and High School Basketball
Earl Timberlake grew up in Southeast Washington, D.C.. He started playing basketball when he was in fourth grade.
When he was a freshman in high school, Earl played for Rock Creek Christian Academy in Maryland. In his first year, he scored about 8.3 points in each game. After that, he moved to DeMatha Catholic High School. As a sophomore, he scored 11.3 points per game.
In his final year of high school, Earl was a star player. He scored 16.5 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in each game. He also helped his team win the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) title for the second time. He was chosen as one of the best players in the WCAC twice. In 2019, he played for Team Durant in a special youth basketball league called the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League.
Becoming a Top Recruit
Earl Timberlake was considered one of the best high school basketball players in the country. Experts called him a "four-star recruit," which means he was highly wanted by many college teams. He was the top-ranked player from Maryland in his graduating class of 2020.
On November 4, 2019, Earl decided to play college basketball for the Miami (FL) team. Many other big-name colleges also wanted him, including Georgetown, Ohio State, and North Carolina. Earl was the best player Miami had recruited since Lonnie Walker in 2017.
Earl's College Basketball Journey
Earl's first year at Miami was tough because of injuries to his ankle and shoulder. He only played in seven games. Even with the injuries, he still averaged 9.3 points, five rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.
For his second year, he decided to transfer to Memphis. There, he averaged 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
After one year at Memphis, Earl transferred again, this time to Bryant for his junior year. At Bryant, he really shined, averaging 13.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. In his senior year (2023-24), he had his best season yet, averaging 14.6 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. He was even named First-team All-America East in 2024.
Personal Life
Earl Timberlake's parents are Earl Timberlake Sr. and Taundaleah Nicole Stewart. He has two younger sisters named Christiana and Brooklyn.
