Earl Anthony Timberlake Jr. (born November 4, 2000) is an American college basketball player. He plays for the Bryant Bulldogs in the America East Conference. Before joining Bryant, he played for the Miami Hurricanes and the Memphis Tigers.

Earl Timberlake's Early Life and High School Basketball
Earl Timberlake grew up in Southeast Washington, D.C.. He started playing basketball when he was in fourth grade.
When he was a freshman in high school, he played for Rock Creek Christian Academy in Rosaryville, Maryland. In his first season, he scored about 8.3 points per game. After that, he moved to DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland.
As a sophomore, Timberlake averaged 11.3 points per game. In his final year of high school, he was a star player. He averaged 16.5 points and 10 rebounds in each game. He also helped his team win their second Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) championship. He was chosen twice for the first-team All-WCAC. In 2019, he played for Team Durant in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League.
Becoming a College Recruit
Earl Timberlake was a highly-rated basketball player coming out of high school. Many experts considered him a "four-star recruit." He was the top-ranked player from Maryland in the 2020 class.
On November 4, 2019, he decided to play college basketball for Miami (FL). He chose Miami over many other big schools like Georgetown, Ohio State, and North Carolina. He was Miami's most exciting new player since Lonnie Walker joined in 2017.
Earl Timberlake's College Basketball Journey
Earl Timberlake started his college career with the Miami Hurricanes. In his first year, he played in only seven games. This was because he had injuries to his ankle and shoulder. During those games, he averaged 9.3 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.
For his second year, he moved to play for the Memphis Tigers. He averaged 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game there.
After Memphis, he transferred to the Bryant Bulldogs for his junior year. At Bryant, he really shined, averaging 13.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
In 2025, Timberlake was named the Kevin Roberson Player of the Year for the America East Conference. He was also a finalist for the Lou Henson National Player of the Year award in March 2025. His coach, Phil Martelli Jr., even called him "the greatest player in Bryant history."
