Camp Ellis Collection
The biggest collection at the museum is about Camp Ellis. This was a large Army camp during World War II. It was located very close to Ipava.
Camp Ellis was a busy place during the war. Soldiers trained there before going overseas. After the war, the camp was no longer needed. By November 1949, most of Camp Ellis was closed down. The land was then made available for other uses.
