Ipava is a small village located in Fulton County, Illinois, in the United States. In 2020, about 447 people lived there. It's a quiet place in the southern part of Fulton County.

Location and Surroundings

Ipava is found in the southern area of Fulton County. A main road, U.S. Route 136, goes right through the village. If you travel east on this road, you'll reach Havana in about 17 miles. Havana is located on the Illinois River. If you go west for about 6 miles, you'll arrive at Table Grove.

The county seat of Fulton County is Lewistown. It's about 12 miles northeast of Ipava. You can get there by taking U.S. Route 136 and then U.S. Route 24. Ipava covers a total area of about 0.27 square miles, and all of it is land.

A Glimpse into Ipava's Past

Ipava was first planned out in the year 1846. Back then, it had a different name: Pleasantville. A few years later, in 1853, the village officially became a town. At that time, its name was changed to Ipava, which it has been called ever since.
