East Uniontown is a special kind of community in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that the government counts for population, but it's not officially a city or town with its own local government.

Where is East Uniontown?

East Uniontown is mostly located in North Union Township. A small part of it also stretches into South Union Township.

It's right next to the city of Uniontown, which is the main city in Fayette County. To the north, you'll find the community of Oliver, and to the south is Hopwood. East of East Uniontown is a place called Lemont Furnace.

Roads and Travel

A very important road, U.S. Route 40 Business, runs through the western part of East Uniontown. This road is also known as the National Pike. It helps mark the border between North Union and South Union townships.

This two-lane road goes northwest into the center of Uniontown. If you head southeast, it connects to U.S. Route 40 in Hopwood.
