The Story of Easton
Easton was planned and built in the 1870s. It was named after Oliver C. Easton. He was one of the first owners of the land where the village now stands. A post office has been open in Easton since 1873.

Easton is found right in the middle of Mason County. A main road, Illinois Route 10, goes through the village. This road is known as Main Street in Easton.
If you go east on this road, you'll reach Mason City in about 8 miles. Going north for 4 miles takes you to U.S. Route 136. Havana, which is the main town for Mason County, is about 14 miles northwest of Easton.
