Club Career
Starting at Aston Villa
Ebony Salmon spent three years learning and playing in the Aston Villa youth academy. In the 2017–18 season, she joined the club's main team in the WSL 2 league.
Her first game for Aston Villa was on October 8, 2017. A month later, she scored her very first goal for the club. This goal helped her team win 4–0 against Watford. She also scored in a cup game in November, but she was sent off the field near the end of that match.
In January 2018, Ebony scored two goals in one game for the first time. She continued to score in three games in a row in April. Overall, she scored seven goals in 12 league games for Aston Villa that season.
Moving to Manchester United

On July 1, 2018, Ebony joined the new Manchester United women's team. They were playing in the FA Women's Championship. However, she did not play any games for Manchester United.
Loan to Sheffield United
To get more playing time, Ebony moved to Sheffield United on loan in January 2019. She played her first game for them on January 6, 2019. Later that month, she scored her first goal for Sheffield United from a penalty. In May, she scored two goals in one game again, helping her team win 6–0. After her loan ended, she left Manchester United without playing a single game for them.
Playing for Bristol City
On July 15, 2019, Ebony Salmon signed with Bristol City for the 2019–20 FA WSL season. She played her first game for them in September 2019.
In January 2020, Ebony scored the only goal in a game against her old club, Manchester United. This goal gave Bristol City their first win of the season. She was Bristol City's top goal scorer in the 2019–20 season, with five league goals. The next season, she scored 10 goals in all competitions. However, Bristol City finished last in the league and were moved down to a lower division. Ebony left the club in May 2021.
Joining Racing Louisville
After leaving Bristol City, Ebony signed a two-year contract with Racing Louisville, a new team in the NWSL in the United States. She made an amazing debut on June 20, 2021. She came into the game as a substitute and scored the winning goal just 74 seconds later!
In her first season with Racing Louisville, Ebony was the team's top league goal scorer with six goals in 20 games.
Time at Houston Dash
In 2022, Ebony's playing time at Racing Louisville decreased. On June 27, 2022, she was traded to Houston Dash. This trade was a record for Louisville, showing how much Houston wanted her. When she joined Houston, she signed a new contract until 2023. Ebony said she wanted to show what she could do on the field.
Returning to Aston Villa
On September 8, 2023, it was announced that Ebony Salmon had returned to Aston Villa. She signed a three-year deal with her first club. In the 2023–24 season, she scored a goal in a 2–1 away win against Everton.
International Career
Youth Teams
Ebony Salmon first played for the England Under-17s on April 28, 2017. In her third game, she scored two goals after coming on as a substitute. She helped the Under-17 team qualify for the 2018 U17 Championship by scoring goals against Latvia and Slovakia.
In May 2018, Ebony was the captain for England at the U17 Championship. She scored a goal against Spain. Then, she scored three goals in just 18 minutes against Italy, which helped England reach the knockout rounds. England finished fourth in that tournament.
In April 2019, Ebony joined the Under-19 squad. She scored two goals against Turkey and another goal against Belgium in the 2019 U19 Championship. In October 2019, she scored in every group match during the 2020 U19 Championship qualification games. The 2020 U19 Championship was later cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On October 12, 2021, Ebony captained the Under-23 team to a 1–0 win against Belgium. She also played in a big 11–0 win against Estonia. In February 2022, she scored two goals against France. In April, she captained the U23 team again in a game against the Netherlands. From October to December 2023, Ebony played in the new U23 European League.
Senior Team

In February 2021, Ebony Salmon was called up to the senior England team for the first time. She made her debut on February 23, coming on as a substitute in a 6–0 friendly win against Northern Ireland. In August 2022, she was chosen to play in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification matches.
Ebony was given the legacy number 219 by the FA. This was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of England's first international game.

Ebony Salmon was born in England. Her father is from Jamaica, so she has Jamaican heritage.
