Echo Canyon State Park is a cool place in Nevada, United States, where you can have lots of outdoor fun! It's about 12 miles (19 km) east of a town called Pioche. This park is special because it surrounds a 70-acre (28 ha) lake known as the Echo Canyon Reservoir.

The area around Echo Canyon is very pretty, with some farms and ranches nearby. The park sits at an elevation of about 5,200 feet (1,600 m) to 5,600 feet (1,700 m) above sea level. Sometimes, it even gets snow in the winter, making it a beautiful place to visit all year round.

How Echo Canyon State Park Started

The Echo Canyon Reservoir was created by building a dam in 1969–1970. This dam was built across the Meadow Valley Wash, which is a stream that flows through the area. After the dam was finished and a place for camping was set up, the Nevada Division of State Parks took over the park in 1970. This meant the park was officially open for everyone to enjoy!
