Eddie Robinson's Basketball Journey
Playing in the NBA
After going to the University of Central Oklahoma, Eddie Robinson joined the Charlotte Hornets in 1999. He wasn't chosen in the NBA draft, but the Hornets still signed him. He was known for being very athletic and able to jump high.
He played two seasons with the Hornets, scoring about 7.2 points per game. He was a "reserve" player, meaning he usually came off the bench. His skills caught the eye of Jerry Krause, who was the general manager for the Chicago Bulls. Krause thought Robinson could become a big star if he played more.
In 2001, the Bulls signed Robinson to a large contract worth $30 million over five years. However, in 2004, a new general manager, John Paxson, decided to end Robinson's contract early. Eddie Robinson played his last NBA game on March 31, 2004, against the Orlando Magic.

After his time in the NBA, Eddie Robinson continued to play basketball. On November 2, 2006, he was chosen by the Idaho Stampede in the NBA Development League (NBDL) draft. The NBDL is a league where players can develop their skills and try to get back into the NBA.
During the 2006–07 season, Robinson played well for the Idaho Stampede. He scored more than 15 points per game on average. After that season, he left the team. In 2008, he was picked again in the NBA D-League draft by the Albuquerque Thunderbirds. However, he didn't sign a contract with them.
