Eduvie Marho Ikoba was born on October 26, 1997. He is an American professional soccer player. Eduvie plays as a forward, which means he is usually at the front of the team, trying to score goals! Currently, he plays for the Slovak club Zemplín Michalovce. He is on loan from the Portuguese club Académico de Viseu.
Eduvie's Soccer Journey
Starting Out in College
Eduvie Ikoba played college soccer while he was studying. He played for Dartmouth College from 2015 to 2018. During this time, he scored 17 goals and made 8 assists in 62 games. This shows he was a strong player even before turning professional. While still in college, Eduvie also played one game for a team called Black Rock FC in 2018.
Becoming a Professional Player
After college, Eduvie hoped to join a major league team. In January 2019, he was chosen by FC Dallas in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. This is a special event where professional teams pick new players. However, he was released by the club and did not get a full contract.
But Eduvie didn't give up! In July 2019, he moved to Hungary. There, he signed with a team called ZTE. He played for them in the top Hungarian league.
In July 2020, Eduvie moved to Slovakia. He joined AS Trenčín, a team in the Fortuna Liga, on a three-year deal.
In the summer of 2022, Eduvie returned to his former club, ZTE, in Hungary. He even signed a new contract with them in January 2023, planning to stay until 2025.
Then, in September 2023, Eduvie signed a three-year contract with Académico de Viseu. This team plays in Liga Portugal 2, which is a professional league in Portugal.
In January 2024, Eduvie went on loan to Seoul E-Land FC, a club in South Korea. He played there until September 2024. After that, he returned to Slovakia. He joined Zemplín Michalovce on a loan for the rest of the season.
