Edwin William Hernández Herrera (born July 10, 1986) is a former professional footballer from Mexico. He played as a left-back, which is a defensive position on the field. Edwin finished his career playing for the Liga de Balompié Mexicano club Chapulineros de Oaxaca.
He was a key player for several teams. He helped them win important championships during his career.

Edwin Hernández's Football Journey
Edwin Hernández started his professional football journey in 2005. He played for a team called Indios. Later, he also spent some time on loan with San Luís. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team.
Playing for Club León
From 2011 to 2015, Edwin played for León. This was a very successful time for him. He helped León win the Liga de Ascenso in 2012. This win helped the team move up to the top league. He then helped them win the Liga MX championship twice. They won in the Apertura 2013 and Clausura 2014 seasons. These were major victories for the club.
Success with Guadalajara
Edwin joined Guadalajara in 2015, first on loan. He then became a permanent player there from 2016 to 2018. With Guadalajara, he continued to win big titles. He helped them win the Liga MX Clausura 2017 championship. They also won the Copa MX twice, in Apertura 2015 and Clausura 2017.
Guadalajara also won the Supercopa MX in 2016 with Edwin. One of his biggest achievements was winning the CONCACAF Champions League in 2018. This is a very important tournament for clubs in North and Central America.
Later Career and Retirement
After his time with Guadalajara, Edwin had a short loan spell with Pachuca in 2019. In 2020, he played for Salamanca UDS and then for Chapulineros de Oaxaca. He helped Chapulineros de Oaxaca win the Liga de Balompié Mexicano title in its first season (2020–21). They won again in 2021. Edwin retired from professional football after this.
