Efland is a small community in Orange County, North Carolina, United States. It is called a census-designated place, which means it is a special area used for counting people by the government. In 2020, about 852 people lived there. This was more than the 734 people who lived there in 2010.
Efland is located along U.S. Route 70. It is about 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Hillsborough. Hillsborough is the main town in Orange County. Efland is also about 5 miles (8 km) east of Mebane. You can reach Efland from Interstate 85 by taking exit 160. The community was originally known as Green Springs.

Community Life in Efland
The Efland Ruritan Club is a big part of the community. This club organizes many fun activities for everyone. They host an annual rodeo, which is a popular event. They also put on parades for the 4th of July and Christmas. The club started on December 7, 1981. Ben Lloyd, a local farmer and former County Commissioner, was its first president.

Efland has two schools for young people. These are Efland-Cheeks Elementary School and Gravelly Hill Middle School. Next to Gravelly Hill Middle School, there is a large soccer facility. This facility is called the Soccer.Com Center.
