Einar Selvik (born on November 18, 1979) is a talented Norwegian musician. He is also known by his stage name Kvitrafn, which means "white raven." Einar was the drummer for the black metal band Gorgoroth from 2000 to 2004.
He is most famous for leading his own music project, Wardruna, which he started in 2002. Wardruna plays Nordic folk music, which is inspired by old Norse traditions. Einar and Wardruna became very well-known around the world for their music in the TV show Vikings. Einar also helped create By Norse, a group that supports art, music, books, movies, and culture related to Norse history.

Einar Selvik's Music Journey
On March 1, 2016, an album called A Piece for Mind & Mirror was released. This album was a special project between Einar Selvik and Ivar Bjørnson from the band Enslaved. The Norwegian government asked them to create this music for the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian Constitution. The album tells the story of Norway's history through music. It was released on March 11, 2016.
Einar has also worked with many other music groups. These include Det Hedenske Folk, Bak de Syv Fjell, Jotunspor, Sahg, Dead to this World, and Faun. He also helped create music for the video game Assassin's Creed Valhalla. In addition, he worked with Riot Games on a theme song for Volibear, a character in the game League of Legends.
Einar Selvik's Early Life
Einar Selvik grew up on Osterøy, a large island near Bergen on the west coast of Norway. When he was a teenager, he became very interested in old viking culture and history. This happened after he found an old book about runes, which are ancient symbols. Before Wardruna became famous, Einar worked as an assistant in a kindergarten.
Einar Selvik believes in a worldview that focuses on personal responsibility. He has spoken about how he believes people are in charge of their own actions and what they contribute to the world.
